To arrange a meeting or just to talk, use SMS service (Short Message Service) that allows you to be always in touch.

SMS is a good idea in a situation where it is impossible to call a person (very noisy, or you are at an important meeting, lecture etc.) or he is currently not available. The message will be stored and delivered to a subscriber when he is within his mobile network coverage area.

Settings that are required for the correct operation of the service is already installed on  USIM card, and it will be enough to type a message, enter a subscriber number and click Send on your phone.  The sent message goes to Short message Center (Center number: +38091 0440601) and then will be send to the recipient.

Dialing format for recipient number:

[operator code] [phone number] - for messages to subscribers of national mobile operators in Ukraine;

+ [Country code] [area code] [phone number] - for messages to phone numbers of other countries.

The maximum SMS text length is 160 characters for Latin message or 70 characters for Cyrillic. For the longer messages the first message part will be 153 characters length for Latin or 67 characters for Cyrillic. All parts are charging as one message. In case a text contains Latin and Cyrillic characters, the SMS message will  be deemed written  in Cyrillic. SMS messages are sent only to mobile phones.
